About us

A forum to learn, and a place to practise

North Dallas Sathya Sai BalVikas is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation. Learning, devotion and service are promoted here through activities open to children, parents and devotees alike.

Who we are

The center provides a forum to learn and practise the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Learning, devotion, as well as service, are promoted through various activities — Sunday morning classes for children, weekly devotional singing, Veda chanting, and a rhythm of service projects that runs through the whole year.

We meet at the Alpha Montessori House in Frisco. Bhajans are held from 11:20 am to 12 noon on Bal Vikas class days, and every student, parent and visitor is warmly encouraged to take part.

Our purpose

  1. Spiritual inquiry, reflection, and practice of teachings.
  2. Spiritual education of children.
  3. Service to community.

The foundation

Five human values

Every part of the programme — every story told, every song sung, every project undertaken — is an attempt to draw out one of these five.

  • Sathya

  • Dharma

    Right Conduct

  • Shanti

    Peace

  • Prema

    Love

  • Ahimsa

    Non-violence

Daiva Preeti

Papa Bheeti

Fear of wrong-doing

Sangha Neeti

Morality in society

Children’s minds are innocent and pure. Each child is a white marble for the teacher and the parents to mould into an image of God, a bud to be helped to blossom in all its Divine glory so that it becomes a worthy offering to God.
— Sri Sathya Sai Baba
